Offer in compromise mills aggressively promote offers in compromise in misleading ways to people who don’t meet the qualifications, often costing taxpayers thousands of dollars.
An offer in compromise mill typically makes exaggerated claims about how it can settle a person’s tax debt for a low amount.Additionally, not every taxpayer will qualify for an Offer in Compromise (OIC). Some promoters knowingly advise indebted taxpayers to file an Offer in Compromise (OIC) application, even though they know the person will not qualify, costing honest taxpayers money and time.
There are also Mills that charge a low fee upfront and then start charging additional fees without doing any of the work.
At Nunn Better Tax Resolution, we will let you know upfront if you qualify for an Offer in Compromise and what the total fees will be.
